Dairy Benchmark Program

In today’s volatile dairy economy, it is critical that dairy operations understand how to assess their business’s financials.

Our Dairy Success and Profitability Review (SPR) benchmark program is a tool to help producers like you evaluate their financial performance and make proactive management decisions for the future. Participating benchmark farms will receive an easy-to-understand report highlighting their farm’s most pertinent information on a total dollar, per cow and per hundredweight basis, and are invited to join us in June for the benchmark review.

How do I sign up?

Dairy SPR is FREE to any Horizon Farm Credit customer or dairy farm located in Horizon Farm Credit’s territory. We invite you to participate in the program by completing the list of documents below: 

• SPR Information Checklist
• 2023 Year-End Balance Sheet
• Milk Check Release Form or Copies of Milk Checks
  • Maryland & Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association
  • Dairy Farmers of America
  • Land O'Lakes

There are two ways you may return your completed forms: 

1. Email them to benchmark@horizonfc.com.
2. Mail them to Horizon Farm Credit, Attn: Dairy SPR, 450 International Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837

Critical Dates and Deadlines

• March 1, 2024: Forms Deadline (SPR Information Checklist, 2023 Year-End Balance Sheet, and Milk Check Release Form or Copies)
• April 19, 2024: Tax Returns and Financial Statements Deadline
• June 13 or June 14, 2024: Regional Dairy SPR Review Webinars
