Join Farm Credit and other grain industry professionals at our Field Day on Monday, August 19, 2024!
We’ve teamed up with several local seed companies to plant 26 varieties of corn in our dry land test plots in Centreville, MD. You will get an exclusive look at the best hybrids all in one place, along with the yield results in a detailed report this winter.

The hybrids were planted 8 rows wide, along the edge of Greenville, Road. This is the fourth year of the Farm Credit corn test plot and we’re excited to have you join in. Signs will be going up along the road this summer so you can watch the varieties grow and follow the progress. We will continue to post updates here as the growing season progresses. Field Day Speaker | David Brock
David Brock, President of Brock Associates
David holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineer and an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, as well as an M.B.A. from Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. David applied his engineering degree out of college before ‘coming back to the farm’ and joining Brock Associates in 2014.
In addition to his role as President, David coordinates with and supports the writing staff by conducting market analysis and creating all of the graphics you find in the various publications, on social media and in speeches. David also handles a small group of clients to stay in touch with all market participants, including speculators, farm hedgers, and agribusinesses.
